CERIC’s newest literature search focuses on Career Counselling Competencies. Career counselling competencies outline the knowledge and skills that career developoment professionals possess.

Competencies may include career development theory, individual and group counselling skills, ethical and/or legal issues and research. Social justice, multiculturalism and evaluation competencies are also covered in the literature search.

There are a total of 30 CERIC literature searches now available, including Labour Market Trends, Mental Health Issues in the Workplace, Military to Civilian Careers, Parental Involvement in Career Development, and Aboriginal Issues in Career Counselling.

The literature searches feature comprehensive listings of key research and articles in career development, highlighting critical points of current knowledge.

Literature searches are of great use if you are researching the latest thinking or proven best practices. They are also valuable if you are considering a submission to CERIC for project partnership funding to gain an overview of major work already done in your area of interest.
