CERIC is pleased to announce that a panel of experts will discuss the results of the 2015 Survey of Career Service Professionals at the Cannexus16 conference in Ottawa. The breakfast discussion will take place on Wednesday, January 27 where panellists will gaze into their crystal balls to interpret what the survey results mean for the future of career development in Canada.

Acclaimed panellists including Dr Roberta Neault, Darrell Cole, Jennifer Browne, Matt Wood, Kris Magnusson and Valérie Roy will explore:

  • How are the careers of career service professionals changing?
  • What are the issues keeping career professionals up at night?
  • How is the public perception of the value of career development evolving?

The survey, which was recently completed by more than 1,000 career service professionals, provides a snapshot of demographics of the field, research trends and education needs.

Attendees at Cannexus16 will be the first to learn about the survey findings. Detailed results will appear in our Careering magazine and ContactPoint website throughout 2016.

Cannexus is Canada’s largest bilingual National Career Development Conference and will take place January 25-27, 2016. The conference will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2016 and is expected to bring together 800 professionals from education, community, government and private sectors to exchange information and explore innovative approaches in career development.
