Cependant, cela repr\u00e9sente un risque d\u2019obstacles importants pour les \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience. Si les centres de services aux \u00e9tudiant(e)s handicap\u00e9(e)s des coll\u00e8ges et universit\u00e9s canadiens re\u00e7oivent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des subventions pour offrir des accommodements en milieu \u00e9ducatif, les autres environnements d\u2019apprentissage n\u2019ont pas droit \u00e0 ce type de subvention. Ils ne disposent donc pas des effectifs n\u00e9cessaires pour aider les autres services aux \u00e9tudiants, comme les services de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re, \u00e0 s\u2019adapter aux besoins des \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-22569\"><\/span>L\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.neads.ca\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Association nationale des \u00e9tudiant(e)s handicap\u00e9(e)s au niveau postsecondaire<\/a>\u00a0(NEADS), r\u00e9alisera une recherche pancanadienne pour conna\u00eetre les pratiques exemplaires actuelles entourant l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9, les accommodements et la conception universelle dans les services d\u2019\u00e9ducation au choix de carri\u00e8re offerts aux \u00e9tudiants postsecondaires ayant une d\u00e9ficience. Le projet vise \u00e9galement \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir les lacunes possibles des services offerts \u00e0 cette population par les sp\u00e9cialistes en d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re. Ce projet est unique par son accent sur l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 et la conception universelle dans le domaine de l\u2019\u00e9ducation au choix de carri\u00e8re et de la r\u00e9orientation professionnelle.<\/p>\n<p>Ces dix derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, NEADS a agi comme chef de file \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nationale et internationale quant aux politiques en vigueur dans l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur et la recherche sur la pratique en ce qui a trait aux \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience. Ce nouveau projet est dirig\u00e9 par Mahadeo Sukhai, directeur de recherche \u00e0 NEADS, un organisme de bienfaisance ax\u00e9 sur les d\u00e9ficiences de tous genres dont le mandat consiste notamment \u00e0 appuyer le plein acc\u00e8s aux \u00e9tudes et \u00e0 l\u2019emploi pour les \u00e9tudiants postsecondaires et les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s de partout au Canada ayant une d\u00e9ficience. M.\u00a0Sukhai est \u00e9galement le directeur de la recherche et le responsable de l\u2019<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnib.ca\/fr\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Institut national canadien pour les aveugles<\/a>\u00a0(INCA).<\/p>\n<p>Ce projet fait partie de la plus vaste initiative de NEADS, intitul\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Vue d\u2019ensemble de l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 et des am\u00e9nagements pour les \u00e9tudiants handicap\u00e9s du niveau postsecondaire au Canada (2016-2018)\u00a0\u00bb, une initiative financ\u00e9e par le gouvernement du Canada. La nouvelle \u00e9tude comportera des consultations en ligne et en personne avec des \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience et des sp\u00e9cialistes en d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re. Parmi les \u00e9tablissements qui y collaboreront, notons\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.utoronto.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Toronto<\/a>, l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfu.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Universit\u00e9 Simon-Fraser<\/a>\u00a0de la Colombie-Britannique, l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mun.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Universit\u00e9 Memorial de Terre-Neuve<\/a>\u00a0et l\u2019<a href=\"http:\/\/assiniboine.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Assiniboine College<\/a> du Manitoba. Ce projet tirera \u00e9galement parti des ensembles de donn\u00e9es nationaux disponibles sur les \u00e9tudiants \u2013 notamment l\u2019Enqu\u00eate canadienne aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 la ma\u00eetrise et au doctorat (CGPSS), le National Survey on Student Engagement (NSSE) (sondage national sur la participation des \u00e9tudiants) et le Community College Survey on Student Engagement (CCSSE) (sondage des coll\u00e8ges communautaires sur la participation des \u00e9tudiants) \u2013 pour avoir une meilleure vue d\u2019ensemble sur l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience en ce qui concerne les services d\u2019\u00e9ducation au choix de carri\u00e8re offerts sur les campus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]\r\n\t<div class=\"wprt-spacer clearfix\" data-desktop=\"40\" data-mobi=\"30\" data-smobi=\"30\"><\/div>[vc_separator color=\u00a0\u00bbcustom\u00a0\u00bb style=\u00a0\u00bbdashed\u00a0\u00bb border_width=\u00a0\u00bb2&Prime; accent_color=\u00a0\u00bb#cccccc\u00a0\u00bb]\r\n\t<div class=\"wprt-spacer clearfix\" data-desktop=\"40\" data-mobi=\"30\" data-smobi=\"30\"><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Objectifs et activit\u00e9s<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cette nouvelle \u00e9tude se propose de d\u00e9finir les pratiques exemplaires et les lacunes pouvant \u00eatre combl\u00e9es quant aux politiques, pratiques et exigences en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re en ce qui a trait \u00e0 l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la conception universelle dans le travail aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience, et ce, dans le domaine de l\u2019\u00e9ducation au choix de carri\u00e8re et de l\u2019orientation professionnelle au sein des \u00e9tablissements postsecondaires au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les principales activit\u00e9s :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyser les grands ensembles de donn\u00e9es nationaux existants sur la participation ou l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des \u00e9tudiants pour y puiser les donn\u00e9es pertinentes relatives \u00e0 la r\u00e9orientation professionnelle dans le contexte d\u2019une d\u00e9ficience.<\/li>\n<li>Mener un sondage pancanadien aupr\u00e8s des professionnels de l\u2019orientation et de l\u2019\u00e9ducation au choix de carri\u00e8re dans le but de conna\u00eetre leur exp\u00e9rience de travail avec les \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience.<\/li>\n<li>Tenir des groupes de discussion et des entrevues avec des informateurs cl\u00e9s pour comprendre le discours entourant la participation des \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience aux programmes de r\u00e9orientation professionnelle.<\/li>\n<li>Mener un sondage pancanadien aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience afin de comprendre les lacunes dans la satisfaction de leurs besoins.<\/li>\n<li>Synth\u00e9tiser les donn\u00e9es, r\u00e9diger un rapport de recherche et formuler des recommandations.<\/li>\n<li>Diffuser des conclusions provisoires et finales par l\u2019entremise de communications universitaires (publications et colloques) et du r\u00e9seau de partenaires de NEADS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Au terme du projet, il est pr\u00e9vu qu\u2019un certain nombre des partenaires \u00e9tablis de NEADS \u2013 dont le Conseil des universit\u00e9s de l\u2019Ontario, l\u2019Association canadienne pour les \u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures, l\u2019Association canadienne des sp\u00e9cialistes en emploi et des employeurs et l\u2019Institut national canadien pour les aveugles, ainsi que les centres de carri\u00e8res sur les campus postsecondaires de tout le Canada \u2013 prennent appui sur les livrables du projet pour revoir leurs propres programmes, ressources et services destin\u00e9s aux \u00e9tudiants ayant une d\u00e9ficience.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude surviendra en m\u00eame temps que la consultation du gouvernement du Canada sur son projet de loi pour les personnes handicap\u00e9es, consultation qui pourra donc profiter de son \u00e9clairage.
