Les trois quarts de la population inuit r\u00e9sident dans l\u2019Inuit Nunangat, un vaste territoire qui s\u2019\u00e9tend du nord du Labrador aux Territoires du Nord-Ouest, alors que 22 % des Inuit sont \u00e9tablis dans les r\u00e9gions urbaines et rurales au sud du pays. Les communaut\u00e9s inuit \u00e0 travers le Canada se trouvent confront\u00e9es \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes probl\u00e9matiques sociales, culturelles et \u00e9conomiques, notamment en ce qui a trait \u00e0 l\u2019acc\u00e8s au logement, l\u2019\u00e9ducation et l\u2019insertion sur le march\u00e9 du travail.<\/p>\n<p>Le\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rquode.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regroupement qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois des organismes pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019employabilit\u00e9 (RQuODE)\u00a0<\/a>m\u00e8ne depuis l\u2019automne 2013 un projet de recherche visant \u00e0 favoriser l\u2019insertion en emploi des adultes inuit, particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al et au Nunavik (Nord-du-Qu\u00e9bec). La premi\u00e8re phase de l\u2019\u00e9tude, intitul\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Recherche d\u2019indicateurs pour cr\u00e9er une intervention en employabilit\u00e9 originale, adapt\u00e9e \u00e0 la client\u00e8le inuit \u00bb, nous a permis de documenter, par le biais d\u2019une revue de la litt\u00e9rature et d\u2019entretiens semi-dirig\u00e9s, les sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s de l\u2019intervention en employabilit\u00e9 aupr\u00e8s de la client\u00e8le inuit, selon une perspective culturelle. Bien que le nombre d\u2019Inuit en sol qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois soit restreint, les retomb\u00e9es du projet d\u00e9passent largement les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices directs li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9gration en emploi et les fronti\u00e8res provinciales. D\u2019une part, l\u2019insertion professionnelle des Inuit engendre des effets multiplicateurs sur le d\u00e9veloppement social et \u00e9conomique des familles et communaut\u00e9s nordiques, en favorisant entre autres la pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance scolaire des jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, l\u2019autonomie financi\u00e8re et l\u2019acquisition de saines habitudes de vie. L\u2019optimisation des m\u00e9thodes d\u2019intervention aupr\u00e8s des Inuit pourrait \u00e9galement permettre une meilleure int\u00e9gration de cette main-d\u2019\u0153uvre dans les secteurs en croissance li\u00e9s notamment \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation des ressources naturelles, dont le secteur minier.
