Environics Research Group a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un sondage t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique aupr\u00e8s de 500\u00a0cadres sup\u00e9rieurs d\u2019entreprises canadiennes concernant la p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qualifi\u00e9e et les lacunes en mati\u00e8re de comp\u00e9tences, la formation des employ\u00e9s et le recrutement de travailleurs, ainsi que sur les pratiques de gestion de carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<h4>La difficult\u00e9 de trouver une main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qualifi\u00e9e<\/h4>\n<p>Les employeurs partout au pays ont plusieurs d\u00e9fis \u00e0 relever cette ann\u00e9e, mais c\u2019est celui de la p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qualifi\u00e9e qu\u2019ils mentionnent le plus souvent (68 %). D\u2019apr\u00e8s ce sondage, la plupart des cadres sup\u00e9rieurs (72\u00a0%) per\u00e7oivent une lacune entre les comp\u00e9tences qu\u2019ils recherchent et celles que poss\u00e8de la majorit\u00e9 des travailleurs.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Plus d\u2019une entreprise sur trois (36\u00a0%) estime que cet \u00e9cart s\u2019est accru.<\/p>\n<p>Parmi les entreprises canadiennes, l\u2019opinion est partag\u00e9e \u00e9galement entre ceux qui estiment que pour combler cette lacune, les employeurs doivent donner plus de formation (43\u00a0%), et ceux qui estiment que les employ\u00e9s prospectifs doivent mieux se pr\u00e9parer pour le march\u00e9 du travail (43\u00a0%).<\/p>\n<p>Pr\u00e8s des deux tiers des cadres sup\u00e9rieurs affirment qu\u2019ils accepteraient d\u2019embaucher un employ\u00e9 qui poss\u00e8de les bonnes comp\u00e9tences g\u00e9n\u00e9rales, et de lui donner une formation relative aux aspects plus techniques du poste. Pourtant, deux entreprises sur trois (66\u00a0%) ont de la difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 trouver des candidats qui ont les comp\u00e9tences g\u00e9n\u00e9rales qu\u2019ils souhaitent \u2013 attitude positive, bonne aptitude \u00e0 communiquer et solide \u00e9thique de travail.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 leur grande volont\u00e9 de donner de la formation, la plupart des employeurs (64\u00a0%) se disent \u00e9galement pr\u00e9occup\u00e9s par la possibilit\u00e9 de perdre les employ\u00e9s apr\u00e8s avoir investi dans leur formation.<\/p>\n<p>Au chapitre du recrutement, seulement la moiti\u00e9 des cadres sup\u00e9rieurs canadiens (52\u00a0%) estiment qu\u2019ils accordent de l\u2019importance \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence en ligne d\u2019un employ\u00e9 potentiel, et seulement un peu plus d\u2019un sur dix (11\u00a0%) estime que ce volet est tr\u00e8s important. Les petites entreprises (moins de 10\u00a0employ\u00e9s) sont les moins susceptibles de tenir compte du profil en ligne d\u2019un employ\u00e9 potentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Soixante-seize pour cent des cadres sup\u00e9rieurs ont r\u00e9pondu que le CV demeure important, tandis que 10\u00a0% estiment que le CV est devenu plus important.<\/p>\n<h4>Qui n\u2019a pas la cote sur le march\u00e9 du travail canadien?<\/h4>\n<p>Par rapport \u00e0 la question du fort taux de ch\u00f4mage chez les jeunes au Canada, on a demand\u00e9 aux cadres sup\u00e9rieurs de choisir, parmi un ensemble de raisons possibles, celle qui est la plus importante selon eux. Les raisons les plus souvent \u00e9voqu\u00e9es sont que les jeunes sont trop exigeants par rapport aux emplois qu\u2019ils veulent (19\u00a0%), et qu\u2019ils manquent d\u2019exp\u00e9rience du monde r\u00e9el (18\u00a0%).<\/p>\n<p>Comment les entreprises canadiennes attirent-elles les jeunes travailleurs? Pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 des cadres sup\u00e9rieurs canadiens ont dit qu\u2019ils affichent leurs postes \u00e0 pourvoir sur des sites en ligne (55\u00a0%) ou recrutent par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire des m\u00e9dias sociaux (49\u00a0%). Trois entreprises sur dix ont recours au recrutement sur les campus (34\u00a0%), aux foires d\u2019emploi (31\u00a0%) et aux stages r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s (29\u00a0%), et encore moins recrutent par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire d\u2019agences de services aux jeunes. Il est \u00e0 noter que pr\u00e8s du quart des entreprises (24\u00a0%) ont affirm\u00e9 qu\u2019elles offraient des stages non r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Le sondage a \u00e9galement demand\u00e9 aux cadres sup\u00e9rieurs canadiens quels efforts leurs entreprises faisaient pour recruter des candidats qui appartiennent \u00e0 des groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s, comme les minorit\u00e9s visibles, les autochtones, les personnes handicap\u00e9es et les nouveaux Canadiens; la moiti\u00e9 (50\u00a0%) a r\u00e9pondu qu\u2019ils investissent peu de temps et d\u2019efforts dans de telles initiatives.<\/p>\n<h4>Planification de carri\u00e8re et coaching<\/h4>\n<p>Un peu plus de sept cadres sup\u00e9rieurs sur 10 (71\u00a0%) conviennent que les employeurs ont la responsabilit\u00e9 d\u2019offrir des programmes de gestion de carri\u00e8re \u00e0 leurs employ\u00e9s. Toutefois, seulement trois sur dix (29\u00a0%) affirment que leur entreprise offre de tels programmes, les plus grandes entreprises \u00e9tant plus susceptibles de les offrir. Le manque de temps constitue le plus grand d\u00e9fi, et dans le cas des petites entreprises, la principale raison est le manque de savoir-faire. Les programmes qui sont le plus souvent offerts sont l\u2019encadrement personnalis\u00e9 (29\u00a0%) et la planification de carri\u00e8re (25\u00a0%).<\/p>\n<p>La grande majorit\u00e9 des cadres sup\u00e9rieurs (88\u00a0%) s\u2019accordent pour dire qu\u2019il est au moins quelque peu important que les employ\u00e9s puissent r\u00e9aliser leurs propres objectifs professionnels, et 44\u00a0% des entreprises affirment que c\u2019est tr\u00e8s important.<\/p>\n<h4>Comment les r\u00e9gions du Canada diff\u00e8rent-elles?<\/h4>\n<p>Quelle r\u00e9gion du Canada est la plus durement touch\u00e9e par la p\u00e9nurie des comp\u00e9tences? \u00c0 quel endroit les recommandations des employ\u00e9s sont-elles la pratique de recrutement la plus courante? Dans quelle r\u00e9gion du pays les employeurs sont-ils les moins susceptibles d\u2019investir dans la formation du personnel? Voyez les r\u00e9ponses \u00e0 ces questions et \u00e0 d\u2019autres en consultant les\u00a0r\u00e9partitions r\u00e9gionales\u00a0du S<em>ondage national des entreprises<\/em>\u00a0du CERIC.<\/p>\n<p>Par exemple, une proportion beaucoup plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e des r\u00e9pondants de l\u2019Ontario (38 %) estiment qu\u2019il est \u00ab facile \u00bb ou \u00ab plut\u00f4t facile \u00bb de trouver les bonnes personnes poss\u00e9dant les comp\u00e9tences appropri\u00e9es pour pourvoir les postes vacants que dans les autres r\u00e9gions du Canada (Colombie-Britannique 22 %, Prairies 26 %, Qu\u00e9bec 21 % et Canada atlantique 25 %).<\/p>\n<p>Autre fait digne de mention : trouver des personnes qui poss\u00e8dent des comp\u00e9tences g\u00e9n\u00e9rales ad\u00e9quates semble \u00eatre plus difficile en Ontario que dans les autres r\u00e9gions. Pr\u00e8s des trois quarts des r\u00e9pondants de cette province (73 %) ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il \u00e9tait \u00ab plut\u00f4t difficile \u00bb ou \u00ab difficile \u00bb de le faire. La moyenne \u00e9tait pr\u00e8s de 10 points de pourcentage plus basse dans les autres r\u00e9gions (64 %).<\/p>\n<p>Ce sondage \u00e9tait co-commandit\u00e9 par le Groupe Banque TD.
