Le sous-emploi<a href=\"\/?p=23444#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a>\u00a0est devenu un passage oblig\u00e9 pour bon nombre de dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s universitaires. Certains feront le choix de se satisfaire de cette situation tandis que d\u2019autres tenteront de tirer leur \u00e9pingle du jeu et d\u2019obtenir un poste correspondant \u00e0 leur niveau d\u2019\u00e9tudes.<\/p>\n<p>Pour les professionnels en d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re, plusieurs pistes d\u2019intervention sont possibles afin d\u2019aider ces clients.<\/p>\n<p>Tout d\u2019abord, il est souhaitable de prendre le temps d\u2019explorer avec le client ses r\u00e9elles motivations professionnelles et ses objectifs de vie. Plusieurs clients peuvent avoir compl\u00e9t\u00e9 des \u00e9tudes universitaires par pression sociale ou par int\u00e9r\u00eat intellectuel, sans n\u00e9cessairement vouloir occuper un poste de professionnel. Les t\u00e2ches d\u2019un technicien peuvent mieux leur correspondre et certains vont m\u00eame retourner compl\u00e9ter une formation afin d\u2019exercer un m\u00e9tier manuel, tout en reconnaissant l\u2019apport de leur formation universitaire \u00e0 leur pens\u00e9e critique. Occuper un poste de technicien peut aussi \u00eatre une mani\u00e8re d\u2019avoir moins de pression sur les \u00e9paules lorsque la vie personnelle apporte d\u00e9j\u00e0 son lot suffisant de responsabilit\u00e9s ou lorsque l\u2019on souhaite plus de temps pour se consacrer \u00e0 ses loisirs ou \u00e0 sa famille. Par contre, pour d\u2019autres, un poste de professionnel est l\u2019objectif de carri\u00e8re ultime et ces clients peuvent se sentir d\u00e9pourvus face aux obstacles rencontr\u00e9s vers l\u2019atteinte de leur but.<\/p>\n<p>Une fois l\u2019objectif \u00e9tabli, il faut s\u2019attarder aux contraintes auxquelles le client fait face dans sa recherche d\u2019un emploi correspondant \u00e0 son niveau d\u2019\u00e9tudes. Est-il possible pour ce dernier de d\u00e9m\u00e9nager dans une r\u00e9gion o\u00f9 plus de postes correspondant \u00e0 son dipl\u00f4me sont disponibles? Outre le dipl\u00f4me, poss\u00e8de-t-il toutes les comp\u00e9tences et l\u2019exp\u00e9rience requises pour le poste?\u00a0 \u00c9prouve-t-il des difficult\u00e9s avec le processus de s\u00e9lection? Si le candidat a toutes les comp\u00e9tences et l\u2019exp\u00e9rience requises pour les postes qu\u2019il cible, on pourra l\u2019accompagner dans ses strat\u00e9gies de recherche d\u2019emploi en l\u2019aidant \u00e0 adapter ses documents professionnels (CV, lettre de motivation, profils sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, etc.) aux postes et en se pr\u00e9parant aux entrevues.<\/p>\n<p>Si c\u2019est l\u2019exp\u00e9rience et les comp\u00e9tences qui font d\u00e9faut, on pourra d\u00e9terminer avec lui des fa\u00e7ons d\u2019aller chercher ces comp\u00e9tences et cette exp\u00e9rience. Par exemple, le client pourrait offrir ses services \u00e0 titre de consultant b\u00e9n\u00e9vole \u00e0 des organisations pouvant b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de ses connaissances. Il pourrait aussi proposer \u00e0 son employeur actuel de prendre la responsabilit\u00e9 de certains dossiers ne faisant pas partie de son mandat officiel. Au sein de son entreprise, il gagnera \u00e0 b\u00e2tir des relations avec ses coll\u00e8gues plus exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s afin que ces derniers agissent \u00e0 titre de mentors pour l\u2019aider \u00e0 se d\u00e9velopper professionnellement. Il pourrait aussi s\u2019investir au sein des associations professionnelles propres \u00e0 son domaine et suivre de la formation continue. Cela lui permettrait de perfectionner ses connaissances tout en d\u00e9veloppant son r\u00e9seau professionnel.<\/p>\n<p>S\u2019il est pr\u00eat \u00e0 d\u00e9m\u00e9nager, il pourrait envisager un s\u00e9jour \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger ou dans une r\u00e9gion o\u00f9 les candidats qualifi\u00e9s dans son domaine sont rares, ce qui lui donnerait l\u2019occasion d\u2019\u00eatre expos\u00e9 \u00e0 un plus haut niveau de responsabilit\u00e9s. Le client pourrait aussi b\u00e2tir son exp\u00e9rience au fil de contrats temporaires (remplacements de cong\u00e9 parental, besoin ponctuel, poste \u00e0 temps partiel, etc.) qui sont moins populaires aupr\u00e8s des candidats plus exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s. Par le fait m\u00eame, il d\u00e9couvrira divers milieux de travail et aura une meilleure id\u00e9e du type d\u2019employeur et de poste qui lui convient. Une fois l\u2019exp\u00e9rience et les comp\u00e9tences acquises, il pourra trouver un poste \u00e0 la hauteur de sa formation.<\/p>\n<p>La situation de sous-emploi peut \u00eatre difficile \u00e0 vivre pour les clients, mais avec les bons outils, les professionnels du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re parviennent \u00e0 aider les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s \u00e0 atteindre leurs objectifs en leur permettant d\u2019identifier leurs ressources et de se positionner sur un march\u00e9 du travail comp\u00e9titif.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Julie Gouin<\/strong>,\u00a0<em>M.A., c.o. accompagne les individus et les organisations dans leurs d\u00e9cisions reli\u00e9es \u00e0 la carri\u00e8re depuis 2007.
