En janvier dernier, la Commission de la sant\u00e9 mentale du Canada (CSMC) a publi\u00e9 la\u00a0<i>Norme nationale en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 psychologiques en milieu de travail<\/i>\u00a0afin de favoriser de bonnes pratiques li\u00e9es \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 mentale en milieu de travail. Du 6 au 12\u00a0mai, c\u2019\u00e9tait la semaine de la sant\u00e9 mentale, un \u00e9v\u00e9nement annuel cr\u00e9\u00e9 par l\u2019Association canadienne pour la sant\u00e9 mentale (ACSM) en vue de sensibiliser et d\u2019informer la population canadienne. L\u2019ACSM et l\u2019organisme Partenaires pour la sant\u00e9 mentale ont organis\u00e9 la campagne pour la sant\u00e9 mentale en milieu de travail intitul\u00e9e\u00a0<i>Je ne me reconnais pas<\/i>\u00a0\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du Canada, qui a eu lieu du 9\u00a0mai au 6\u00a0juin et qui s\u2019est conclue par la journ\u00e9e\u00a0<i>Je ne me reconnais pas au travail<\/i>\u00a0le 6\u00a0juin.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements ont attir\u00e9 l\u2019attention de la population vers une question importante de sant\u00e9 publique qui m\u00e9rite qu\u2019on s\u2019y attarde. Toutefois, il est beaucoup plus facile d\u2019adh\u00e9rer \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale selon laquelle il faudrait fournir de meilleurs services aux personnes aux prises avec des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale que d\u2019y faire face soi-m\u00eame, et ce, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse d\u2019un client, d\u2019un membre de la famille ou, m\u00eame, d\u2019un professionnel du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re. C\u2019est pourquoi le CERIC a financ\u00e9 un projet de recherche explorant comment les professionnels du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re peuvent mieux soutenir leurs clients ayant des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale.<\/p>\n<p>Nous passons tellement de temps au travail qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas \u00e9tonnant que la sant\u00e9 mentale soit si \u00e9troitement li\u00e9e \u00e0 la carri\u00e8re. Clairement, les professionnels du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re pourraient \u00eatre de puissants agents de changement. Selon un r\u00e9cent sondage par Ipsos-Reid, presque la moiti\u00e9 des Canadiens croient que leur travail est la principale cause de stress dans leur vie, et pour plusieurs, c\u2019est une source d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9.
