\"\"Bonjour chers lecteurs! Je m\u2019appelle Lindsay Purchase. Je suis heureuse de vous pr\u00e9senter mon premier num\u00e9ro du magazine Careering<\/em> \u00e0 titre de nouvelle r\u00e9dactrice en chef, Contenu et communications. Vous continuerez de trouver dans Careering<\/em> les articles informatifs et stimulants qui font de notre magazine une lecture essentielle. Vous y remarquerez aussi cependant quelques nouveaut\u00e9s (consultez le document infographique) et des changements \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sentation, car nous continuons de chercher des fa\u00e7ons de mieux vous servir. Les th\u00e8mes de ce num\u00e9ro, qui traite de handicaps et de troubles de sant\u00e9 mentale, sont la r\u00e9silience, l\u2019\u00e9volution des mentalit\u00e9s et les r\u00e9seaux de soutien. Ces th\u00e8mes m\u2019ont touch\u00e9e, car je les reconnais dans ma propre transition de carri\u00e8re. J\u2019esp\u00e8re qu\u2019ils vous toucheront aussi.<\/p>\n

Notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 est de plus en plus consciente des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale. Nous acceptons de mieux en mieux les diff\u00e9rences physiques et intellectuelles au travail. Et pourtant, il reste beaucoup de chemin \u00e0 faire dans l\u2019\u00e9limination des obstacles au travail pour les personnes ayant un handicap ou une maladie mentale.<\/p>\n

Parce que le tiers des Canadiens auront une maladie mentale au cours de leur vie (Agence de la sant\u00e9 publique du Canada) et qu\u2019on estime que 3,6\u00a0millions de Canadiens auront un handicap physique d\u2019ici 2030 (Conference Board du Canada), les professionnels du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re ont un r\u00f4le important \u00e0 jouer. Quelle est l\u2019incidence de la r\u00e9silience et du bien-\u00eatre sur le d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re? Comment les milieux professionnels, les \u00e9coles et les intervenants en d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re peuvent-ils mieux soutenir les personnes ayant un handicap? Le pr\u00e9sent num\u00e9ro explore ces questions et bien d\u2019autres.<\/p>\n

Tout d\u2019abord, la psychologue Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Pelletier discute des obstacles auxquels font face les employ\u00e9s en cong\u00e9 pour un probl\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 mentale \u00e0 leur retour au travail. Ensuite, Mary Ann Baynton explique comment les chercheurs d\u2019emploi peuvent accro\u00eetre leur r\u00e9silience afin de mieux composer avec les d\u00e9fis de la transition de carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Nous lan\u00e7ons aussi une nouvelle chronique o\u00f9 un chercheur ou une chercheuse d\u2019emploi t\u00e9moigne de ses r\u00e9ussites et de ses difficult\u00e9s dans le d\u00e9veloppement de sa carri\u00e8re. Dans le pr\u00e9sent num\u00e9ro, Rebecca McMurrer se confie sur sa qu\u00eate d\u2019un emploi gratifiant en soins infirmiers \u00e0 la suite d\u2019un diagnostic d\u2019affection progressive causant une d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration de sa mobilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
