Un nouveau projet de recherche financ\u00e9 par le CERIC aidera \u00e0 identifier les facteurs qui permettent le d\u00e9veloppement d’un int\u00e9r\u00eat pour une profession chez les adolescents et les jeunes adultes, en particulier ceux consid\u00e9r\u00e9s \u00ab vuln\u00e9rables \u00bb.\u00a0 Le projet rep\u00e8rera les facteurs familiaux, sociaux et environnementaux qui influencent la mani\u00e8re dont les enfants per\u00e7oivent leurs futures carri\u00e8res et leur \u00e9ducation postsecondaire. Cette recherche est men\u00e9e en partenariat avec l’Universit\u00e9 du Manitoba, l’Universit\u00e9 de Winnipeg et Career Trek Inc., programme d’exploration de carri\u00e8res.<\/p>\n

Le projet consistera \u00e0 demander \u00e0 un large \u00e9ventail de jeunes \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes de d\u00e9veloppement de dire comment ils per\u00e7oivent les valeurs et aptitudes, les performances et les r\u00e9alisations personnelles, l’apprentissage par observation de leurs parents, amis et enseignants, ainsi que la persuasion sociale (c’est-\u00e0-dire le r\u00f4le de l’appartenance \u00e0 un groupe social) pour savoir de quelle mani\u00e8re ces facteurs influencent leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats scolaires et professionnels.\u00a0 De plus, l’\u00e9tude examinera les m\u00eames facteurs dans une population comparable ayant particip\u00e9 au programme Career Trek Inc.<\/p>\n

Cette \u00e9tude \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle impliquera 500 participants \u00e0 cinq \u00e9tapes diff\u00e9rentes de d\u00e9veloppement : phase de latence, phase interm\u00e9diaire de l’adolescence, fin de l’adolescence, jeune adulte et adulte. Une attention particuli\u00e8re sera accord\u00e9e aux jeunes habituellement consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme \u00ab vuln\u00e9rables \u00bb dans les \u00e9tudes, et qui sont une population mal comprise par la plupart des conseillers en orientation.<\/p>\n

Les r\u00e9sultats du projet visent \u00e0 aider le personnel des \u00e9coles et les pr\u00e9parateurs de cursus scolaires \u00e0 comprendre les besoins des jeunes dits vuln\u00e9rables en mati\u00e8re d’exploration de carri\u00e8res. Les conclusions incluront aussi des strat\u00e9gies que les parents pourront utiliser pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins de d\u00e9veloppement professionnel de leurs enfants.<\/p>\n

Les r\u00e9sultats du projet devraient \u00eatre disponibles en 2013.<\/p>\n
