The Counselling Foundation of Canada<\/a> a termin\u00e9 son processus d\u2019examen strat\u00e9gique, qui a dur\u00e9 un an, et a adopt\u00e9 un nouveau plan strat\u00e9gique<\/a> (pdf) qui confirme son intention de continuer \u00e0 offrir des subventions afin de soutenir le domaine du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

La Fondation, qui soutient financi\u00e8rement le CERIC, a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1959 afin de mettre sur pied ou d\u2019am\u00e9liorer des programmes d\u2019orientation et d\u2019accro\u00eetre les comp\u00e9tences techniques des conseillers d\u2019orientation canadiens. Depuis, la Fondation a distribu\u00e9 plus de 70 millions de dollars dans cet objectif. Ces fonds ont servi au lancement ou \u00e0 l\u2019expansion de nombreux centres de carri\u00e8res en milieu postsecondaire ainsi qu\u2019au d\u00e9marrage de bon nombre de programmes novateurs tels que Passeport pour ma r\u00e9ussite<\/a>, qui a d\u2019abord \u00e9t\u00e9 mis sur pied dans le quartier Regent Park de Toronto avant d\u2019\u00eatre repris par d\u2019autres communaut\u00e9s au pays. La Fondation a \u00e9galement jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans le d\u00e9veloppement du mod\u00e8le de mentorat tripartite appel\u00e9 \u00ab Tri-Mentoring \u00bb. Elle a aussi appuy\u00e9 des programmes qui touchent \u00e0 l\u2019employabilit\u00e9 et au d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re des n\u00e9o-Canadiens, des jeunes allosexuels, des autochtones, des femmes en difficult\u00e9 et des personnes handicap\u00e9es, par exemple.<\/p>\n

La Fondation continue de croire que l\u2019avenir du domaine de l\u2019orientation et du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re est important pour le d\u00e9veloppement personnel et la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique des Canadiens. Le plan strat\u00e9gique de la Fondation a cibl\u00e9 trois domaines d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat particulier sur lesquels elle travaillera au cours des prochaines ann\u00e9es :<\/p>\n

  1. Contribuer \u00e0 bien faire conna\u00eetre le domaine de l\u2019orientation professionnelle et du d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re et \u00e0 en promouvoir la valeur<\/li>\n
  2. Participer activement \u00e0 la discussion sur le lien entre l\u2019\u00e9ducation et le travail au Canada<\/li>\n
  3. Devenir plus actif dans les secteurs philanthropique et caritatif<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
