CERIC’s most recent literature search focuses on Persons with Disabilities and Career Development. Career development professionals often work with clients who have a range of disabilities and issues in finding meaningful employment. According to a 2012 Government of Canada survey, 13.7% of Canadian adults have a disability that limits their daily activities.

Topics covered in the literature search include:

  • The integration of persons with disabilities into the job market
  • Disability and skills
  • Barriers to the career advancement of disabled professionals

There are a total of 27 literature searches available, including Older Workers and Career Development, Military Transition to Civilian Careers, Aboriginal Issues in Career Development and Mental Health Issues in the Workplace.
