Barbara is a learning and development professional with over 17 years of progressive experience working to build human and social capital in great organizations.
Barbara’s career has spanned both the private and non-profit sectors, and has traversed a variety of roles, with a focus on curriculum development, learning design, program management, public speaking and presentations, and people development. In all these roles she has been able to enhance the employee experience and build individual and strategic capability.
Barbara joined CIBC in 2012 as an analyst and consultant for the implementation of a new learning management system and supporting learning catalogue. But the diversity of her own career journey underscores her interest and passion in her current role as Director of Career Development for CIBC, where she is leading the creation and implementation of a multi-year strategy for integrated, enterprise career development for all employees.
Barbara holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, a Certificate in Training and Development from Ryerson University, and a certificate in Volunteer Management from Humber College.
