Duration:
- Full-time summer contract position (4 days/week)
- June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (9 weeks)
Compensation: $20.00/hour for 30 hours/week
Location: Hybrid or Remote
For remote work, the hire can be situated anywhere in Canada. It requires that the individual have a reliable computer, good internet access and a dedicated (quiet) workspace. For hybrid work, workplace accommodations can be made. CERIC’s office is located in Toronto, the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, Petun, Haundenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Mississauga Anishinaabe of New Credit.

Position Overview:
You’ll join a small, passionate group working to advance the learning and professional development of Career Development Professionals. As Research Support Officer, you’ll work closely with the Manager, Research Initiatives. Leveraging your skills in research, writing, communication, and organization, you will undertake tasks such as update literature searches, support projects and survey tasks and deliverables, maintain and update outreach lists and databases.

Core Responsibilities
- Assist and support the launch of the Graduate Student Engagement Program (GSEP): research similar initiatives, update program information, assist during outreach and campaign period
- Assist and support the funding process and the project call for proposals: update information and files, coordinate documentation for staff and advisory committees, assist with application reviews
- Support research initiatives, update research project content and literature searches
- Research and compile contact lists for academic outreach purposes
- Assists in the research, updating and maintenance of outreach lists and databases for CERIC and its programs
- Assist with various tasks related to our Graduate Student Engagement Conduct research, analyze and compare data for our Survey of Career Development Professionals
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong research skills and the ability to find and curate relevant information
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Planning and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload
- Reliable self-starter capable of effective teamwork
- Organized, resourceful, flexible; open to changes in direction
- Computer proficiency with experience using Survey Monkey, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign or similar technology an asset
- Prior experience using Zoom or similar webinar provider platforms an asset
- French language skills are an asset
Additionally, this position is being funded in part by the Canada Summer Jobs program. As such, the hire MUST be:
- between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- and have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
