It’s not all scams! We’ve done the research and want to share it with you, so that you can share it with your clients.
Have your clients been asking, “Are there really legitimate opportunities to work from home?” For many of your clients, working from home is a viable solution, but the fear of scams and predators keeps us, as career professionals, from connecting our clients to these opportunities.
Find out about this growing trend, opportunities it presents for jobseekers and how your career service can educate its clients to take advantage of legitimate opportunities to work from home. The Work from Home Project was initiated to provide new employment opportunities, and is dedicated to helping those in remote areas, rural settings, with disabilities, caregivers (for children or the aging), new immigrants, Aboriginals, and anyone else who can benefit from a more flexible work-life balance.
In partnership with the Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling (CERIC) and The Employment and Education Centre (EEC), we have carried out extensive research to document legitimate opportunities and recognize perilous online scams. In this 30-minute webinar, you will get an overview and have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers around this topic.
In the last few minutes, we will also outline the full professional development webinar series that is available at a 15% discount for those who attend this free session. Dozens of practitioners at career and employment centres across Canada have already benefited from this training, including Work BC Employment Services Centre, CAPS Your U of A Career Centre, The Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Neil Squire Society and Dawson College Student Employment Services.
