Career Possibilities for Newcomers

Career Possibilities for Newcomers is a new career exploration program geared towards helping newcomers to Canada. This inspiring, three week program includes free International Credential Assessments, activities designed to determine skills, interests and abilities, thorough occupational and labour market research techniques, individual career counselling, as well as assistance developing a resume and the creation of a Career Action Plan. We also administer several personality assessment tools to help match our clients’ interests with realistic career goals.

Our program is free to any newcomer who is legally entitled to work in Canada, not working more than 20 hours a week, and can commit to a three week program. Clients do not need to be on any type of government assistance.

The majority of clients who attend our program are uncertain about what career path they wish to pursue in Canada or have a career goal but do not know how to make their dream a reality in Canada.

Career Possibilities for Newcomers can assist clients in making intelligent choices to help them explore and choose realistic career goals and develop a clear action plan geared toward reaching that goal.

Our clients are open, warm and friendly and we regularly see new friendships made in our classes. This program is a wonderful tool to gain knowledge and at the same time, it provides a safe and welcoming place for newcomers to meet and make new friendships that will last a lifetime.
