March 23, 2016How career development professionals and their clients can best use social media is the subject of the latest “wiki” to be added to the ContactPoint website. From research to personal branding to networking, the wiki covers the do’s and don’ts of social media across a range of the most popular platforms such as LinkedIn as well as newer apps including Periscope.
The new wiki was added at the same time as the wiki feature on ContactPoint, one of the most visited sections of the website, was upgraded. This allows users to more easily contribute wiki content and share knowledge with the career development community.
In addition to the social media wiki, ContactPoint also features wikis on:
To participate in any of the wikis, individuals can create a free account and then notify contactpoint@ceric.ca that they would like to be added to the list of wiki authors. Community members can contribute under any wiki category or start a new topic.
Thank you to volunteer Diana Kudla, a student at Conestoga College’s Career Development Practitioner Program, who developed the social media wiki.
A program of CERIC, ContactPoint is an online community dedicated to providing multi-sector career development professionals with resources, learning and networking opportunities. ContactPoint also has a sister French site, Orientation.ca, with distinct content geared to francophone career development professionals.
