This is your opportunity to shine a spotlight on those who:
Have had a measurable impact through service, community engagement, advocacy or education
Inspire and mentor colleagues, students or clients
Champion justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace
The Wileman Award, named after early 20th-century Canadian career development advocate Etta St. John Wileman, is more than a recognition—it is a celebration of the people shaping the profession and improving lives.
Inclusive and accessible
Recent updates to the award criteria reflect CERIC’s ongoing efforts to make the award more inclusive and accessible. These changes recognize the breadth of career development work being done by professionals at all levels, regardless of their role or organizational position.
Honour past excellence, inspire future leaders
Recent recipients of the award include visionary leaders such last year’s trailblazing honourees Gillian Johnston and the late Dr. Rob Shea. Their work has exemplified the spirit of the award—leadership, advocacy and a deep commitment to advancing the field.
CERIC welcomes nominations from across the country and encourages colleagues to highlight peers whose dedication and influence deserve national recognition. The recipient will be celebrated at Cannexus26, Canada’s Career Development Conference, which will be marking its 20th anniversary.
Nominations are open until October 6, 2025. By nominating a deserving colleague, you help celebrate the profession and inspire others.
