Employees are expected to work onsite regularly, typically one day per week at present, with the frequency subject to adjustment as organizational needs evolve. While some flexibility in the workday can be accommodated, employees are expected to meet milestones, deliverables and attend internal and external meetings as required. Employees must have dependable internet access and a dedicated, quiet and safe workspace to perform their duties effectively when working remotely.

Position Summary  

Reporting to the Lead, Content, Learning and Development, the Learning Content Specialist (Intern) provides hands-on support for CERIC’s marketing, learning, and advocacy activities. This position assists with listicle updates for the CareerWise website, digital content updates, interest-holder research and outreach, and the coordination of Learning Hub and Resource Library offerings. The Specialist supports the promotion of CERIC’s projects, publications, and the Cannexus conference, ensuring quality and consistency in all communications while contributing to the effective day-to-day implementation of marketing and communications operations.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to CareerWise website initiatives, such as listicle creation, web posting and article dissemination
  • Research resources and develop listicles by reviewing tools, articles and websites suitable for Career Development Professionals
  • Extract notable quotes and key takeaways from researched resources to develop and curate an evergreen bank of micro-content
  • Draft social media copy and promotional Canva graphics for LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Facilitate the thematic reorganization of our diverse learning resources
  • Organize and code CERIC, CareerWise and CJCD resources by content type on WordPress
  • Support webinar tasks, including scriptwriting, communication with presenters and survey results analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Look For

  • Recent graduate or student enrolled in University or College
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to accurately support web postings, article updates, and listicle layouts.

  • A creative, proactive thinker with strong initiative who can work independently to clear task lists and collaboratively with colleagues on broader brand initiatives.

  • Awareness of the ethical and responsible use of AI-assisted tools in journalistic, communications, and marketing contexts.

  • Familiarity with designing digital assets (Canva), posting to social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook), managing data (SharePoint), and operating email marketing systems (MailChimp) is considered a strong asset.
