Registration now open for Summer Skills Academy 2016 with Mark Savickas
The 2016 Summer Skills Academy will feature a special one-day intensive and interactive training opportunity: Constructing Careers in the Digital Age with Mark Savickas. The session will be held Wednesday, July 13 at the CERIC office in Toronto.
Participants will discuss and demonstrate practical techniques for using stories and articulating life themes to foster educational and career decision-making. They will learn how to integrate these techniques into their ongoing practice and better understand why they became advisors and counsellors and how their occupations allow them to advance their own life stories.
Savickas is Adjunct Professor of Counselor Education at Kent State University. His 90 articles, 50 book chapters and 500 presentations have dealt with vocational behaviour and career counselling. He is a fellow of the American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Society, and the National Career Development Association.
The cost for a one-day seminar at the Early Bird rate is $195 and $245 for regular rate. The Early Bird deadline is May 10. Space is limited to 40 spots and they are expected to go quickly.
CERIC’s Summer Skills Academy was developed to meet the need for career practitioner training that is face-to-face, in-depth and budget-friendly.
