Joan Schiebelbein is the Director of the University of Alberta’s Career Centre. She began working with Career Centre in September 1988 eventually taking on responsibility for developing and managing the unit’s career education programming and Career Peer Educator (CPE) program, becoming Director in 2007. Joan’s formal education includes a BA (1986), BA – Honours in Political Science (1988), Certificate in Public Administration (1999) and Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education (2005), all of which are from the University of Alberta. The focus of her graduate work was on work and learning.
In addition to her work with Career Centre, Joan currently serves on the U of A’s Community Service-Learning Advisory Board and the Assessment Working Group within the Office of the Dean of Students.
