October 17, 2013CERIC’s National Challenge to Promote Career Development has received an enthusiastic response. When the entry period closed on Friday, exactly 80 creative ideas had been posted to the online competition, ranging from a zombie-themed advertising campaign to setting a Guinness World Record for the most simultaneous career conversations.
Entries are now being evaluated by the panel of judges. The top 10 Finalists will be announced on Nov. 4. Then from Nov. 4-29 the career development community can vote for their three favourites. The three entires that receive the most votes will win $5,000 each and a free registration to the Cannexus14 National Career Development Conference.
The competition is intended to find innovative ideas that enhance the profile of career counselling as well as career development professionals in Canada. In recognition of CERIC’s 10th anniversary in 2014, The Counselling Foundation of Canada has provided a grant to create the National Challenge.
