April 2, 2014If you are looking for best practice information in career development, a new literature search has been posted to the CERIC website.
CERIC’s most recent literature search focuses on older workers. The latest literature search comes at a time when older workers have been at the forefront of career development news:
- Canada’s Economic Action Plan 2014 promised to renew the Targeted Initiative for Older Workers for three more years.
- The Globe and Mail published an article in January 2014 discussing the rise of age discrimination lawsuits in Canada, particularly with a focus on older workers.
- In February 2014, CARP held a job fair aimed at bringing employers to older workers.
There are a total of 20 literature searches available, including Mental Health Issues in the Workplace, Aboriginal Issues in Career Development/Counselling and Early Intervention Career Development for Children and Adolescents.
The literature searches feature comprehensive listings of key research and articles in career development, highlighting critical points of current knowledge.
Literature searches are of great value if you are considering a submission to CERIC for project partnership funding. You can gain an overview of major work already done in your area of interest.
