May 19, 2015A new CERIC literature search explores the topic of Workforce Planning. Workforce planning describes how various regions prepare for the types of industries, talent and skills they will need to keep their economy thriving. On an organization level, workforce planning may also encompass the kinds of individuals a business will need to ensure their organization continues to grow and thrive.
Topics covered in the literature search include:

- The role of human resources in workforce planning
- Workforce development in developing countries
- Recommendations for a successful workforce planning program
- Workforce planning for labour shortages
There are a total of 31 CERIC literature searches now available, including Career Development and Social Justice, Learning Disabilities in the Workplace, Older Workers and Career Development, Trends in E-Counselling and Women in Non-Traditional Careers.
The literature searches feature comprehensive listings of key research and articles in career development, highlighting critical points of current knowledge.
