The Government of Canada’s Skills for Success (SFS) framework offers a holistic approach to workforce development by incorporating proficiency levels and emphasizing socio-emotional skills, including (1) Communication, (2) Creativity & Innovation, (3) Problem-Solving, (4) Reading, (5) Digital, (6) Collaboration, (7) Adaptability, (8) Writing and (9) Numeracy.
This session will offer participants the opportunity to learn from Prepr’s successful adaptation of the Skills for Success framework in the marketing and technology sector and gain practical strategies for incorporating the SFS framework into their programming to ensure relevance and engagement for learners.
Why career professionals should attend
Participants will explore the nine essential skills identified in the framework and gain insights from Prepr’s pilot program, which supported over 240 learners in digital roles such as marketing, sales and technology. They will learn how Prepr tailored each skill to the technology sector, such as linking adaptability to agile project management and writing to marketing communication.
By attending the session, participants will gain actionable insights on how to use the Skills for Success framework to enhance their programming and support for learners, strategies for integrating technology to create connected and impactful virtual learning environments, and access to a toolkit for applying the SFS framework in their own programs.
Participants will leave the webinar equipped to design engaging, learner-centered programs that produce measurable outcomes, improve job readiness and foster long-term career success.
