CERIC presents free 10th Anniversary webinar series
October 31, 2014Graduate Student Award sends 4 students to Cannexus15
November 6, 2014To coincide with Canada Career Week, CERIC and the Canadian Council for Career Development (CCCD) have collaborated to launch the Glossary of Career Development.
From Abilities to Workplace Training, the glossary is primarily intended to serve as a resource to those working or studying in the field of career development, though it will also be of value to Canadians more broadly who are looking for definitions of terms in relation to their own careers.
Given the richness and diversity of the field, it is also hoped that this glossary can move us towards a common vocabulary and shared understanding of career development. With that in mind, the glossary is presented as a living document in the form of a “wiki.” Everyone in career development is invited to participate.
To encourage you to get involved right now, we are going to give away one free copy a day of CERIC’s Career Development Practice in Canada textbook throughout Canada Career Week (Nov. 3-7). To be eligible for each day’s draw, you need to either add a relevant term or modify an existing one.
The glossary is found on CERIC’s ContactPoint online community, which provides career resources, learning and networking for practitioners. The intent is to develop a version of the glossary on our French OrientAction online community as well, and we will be seeking out collaborators to assist us.
