As professionals across the career development sector plan for the year ahead, CERIC is offering a new learning opportunity focused on inclusive, intersectional practice. In partnership with the Canadian Association for Supported Employment (CASE), CERIC is launching a 6-week Certificate Program: An Intersectional Approach to Supporting Career Development, with the first cohort beginning January 26, 2026.
Designed for career development practitioners, employment counsellors and workforce professionals, the program builds practical, equity-informed skills to support Black, Indigenous and People of Colour communities who experience disability (BIPOC-D). Participants engage in facilitated online learning that combines foundational concepts of intersectionality with applied strategies that can be integrated directly into professional practice.

The January cohort runs from January 26 to March 8, 2026, offering an ideal opportunity for professionals to begin the year by strengthening their skills and approach to inclusive career development. Additional cohort dates will be offered throughout the year to accommodate varying schedules and professional development needs.

Program details and registration
The cost for the full program is $450 for non-CASE members and $400 for CASE members. Program content, learning aids and PowerPoints are available in English, and the program is currently facilitated in English only.
