September 27, 2013Canada’s Career Imperative goes west and east
October 1, 2013Career Trek and CERIC are proud to announce the second annual Let’s Get to Work symposium will be held November 21, 2013 at the Delta Winnipeg.
As Manitoba’s only career symposium dedicated to demographics, research and current labour market trends, this year’s event will focus on investing in today for a stronger tomorrow. The goal of the symposium is to provide a “solutions-focused” space where the intersections between career development, employment and education can be explored and a greater sense of shared responsibility can be found.
In his interactive keynote address, author, educator and counsellor David Zinger will address the need for employee engagement, offering practical tips, tactics, approaches, and perspectives to full engagement. Following the keynote address, there will be two sets of breakout sessions with up to eight options to choose from.
Register before October 4 for the Early Bird Rate and save $20 on the registration price. You can also benefit from the Group Rate if you register five persons at the same time. Visit Career Trek’s website for more information.
Over the past two years, CERIC has been partnering with select associations and organizations across Canada to present a series of continuing education events. These Mini-Forums are intended to engage career development professionals in the communities where they work and provide valuable, cost-effective learning opportunities.
Past Mini-Forums have been held in partnership with the Association of Career Professionals International (ACPI) Toronto and the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Career Practitioners (NLACP). CERIC is also holding a Career Development Mini-Forum on November 5, 2013 in Kelowna, in partnership with the British Columbia Career Development Association (BCCDA). With a theme of “Inspire, Influence, Innovate,” the full-day event brings together three leading experts in career development research and practice.
