Popular Spark! talks return to Cannexus16 conference
The Cannexus16 National Career Development Conference, taking place January 25-27, 2016 in Ottawa, will feature the return of Spark!, our highly popular TED-style talks. Five speaker will each give a 15-minute presentation on a diverse topic to “spark” you to think differently about your work.
Our 2016 Spark! line up includes:
- Andreas Souvaliotis, Social Change Rewards – Harnessing Your Inner Misfit
- Anita Nowak, McGill University – The Power of Empathy
- Jim Davies, Carleton University – The Science of Imagination
- Kelly Peters, BEworks – Behavioural Economics
- Wali Shah, Artist & Educator – Rhythm & Poetry
Canada’s largest bilingual career conference, Cannexus is expected to welcome 800 professionals from education, community, government and private sectors to explore innovative approaches in career counselling and development. The 2016 Cannexus is a special one, marking the conference’s 10th anniversary.
In addition to Spark!, conference delegates can listen to four inspirational keynotes (Spencer Niles, Ratna Omidvar, Honourable Justice Murray Sinclair and Wab Kinew) and choose from more than 130 education sessions. Delegates can also deepen their learning by attending the intensive pre-conference or post-conference workshops.
Anyone who registers for Cannexus by July 31 will be automatically entered in a draw for an Ottawa Tourism welcome package. The Super Saver deadline for the best rate (only $425 for a 3-day registration is September 9.
