Overview of the webinar
As we navigate through 2026, the Canadian labour market is experiencing rapid shifts driven by technological integration and changing sectoral demands. Grounded in State of the National Workforce 2026: Strategic Analysis and Sectoral Demand, an Indigenous-informed workforce analysis presented at the 2026 ISET National Gathering and supported by CERIC, this webinar addresses the critical disconnect between current talent pipelines and the evolving needs of key economic drivers: Agriculture, Mining, Manufacturing and Tourism.
With labour shortages persisting in high-growth areas, practitioners need a macro-level understanding of where the economy is heading. This session features a panel of Sector Council Presidents and Directors who will unpack the report’s findings, highlighting the specific skills and regional demands that will define the next year.
